Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), refers to organic compounds larger than 70Pa in saturated vapor pressure under the constant temperature and with a boiling point below 260°C at the constant temperature, has greater harm to the environment and human body. With the development of national environmental protection system, VOCs treatment is more important day by day.

Solutions

As an efficient organic waste gas treatment technology, oxidation method is widely used in the deep treatment of organic waste gas in various industries.

Oxidation methods are mainly divided into regenerative thermal oxidation (RTO) , regenerative catalytic oxidation (RCO), thermal oxidation (TO), catalytic oxidation (CO) and so on. The principle is to completely decompose organic exhaust gas into CO2 and H2O by direct combustion or by adding catalysts for low temperature combustion.

Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO)

The principle of RTO is to heat the organic waste gas to above 760 ℃, so that VOCs in the waste gas can be oxidized and decomposed into CO2 and H2O, and the purification efficiency can reach above 99%. When the VOCs concentration in the waste gas reaches a certain value, the system can maintain the self balance of the reaction without consuming additional fuel. The high temperature gas generated by oxidation flows through a specially made heat accumulator, which heats up the heat accumulator and "accumulates heat". This heat accumulator is used to preheat the subsequent organic waste gas, thus saving the fuel consumption of waste gas heating. The heat recovery efficiency is ≥ 95%.

Compared with traditional catalytic oxidation and thermal oxidation (TO), it has the characteristics of high thermal efficiency and low operating cost. When the concentration is slightly high, the secondary waste heat can also be recovered, greatly reducing the production and operation costs.

RTO can be directly applied or integrated and combined with other treatment processes, and is widely used in organic waste gas emission industries such as printing, coating, medicine, new materials, electronics, lithium batteries, etc.

Regenerative catalytic oxidation (RCO)

The working process of RCO system is similar to that of RTO, but the principle of oxidation decomposition of VOCs is completely different. RCO conducts chemical reaction on its surface through a noble metal catalyst (an oxidizing catalyst that can greatly reduce the combustion activation energy of VOCs and improve the reaction rate), oxidizing and decomposing VOCs into non-toxic and harmless carbon dioxide and water at a temperature range of 300-500 ℃. Less fuel consumption, more energy saving.

Regenerative catalytic oxidation (RCO)

Applicable waste gas type: hydrocarbon compounds (aromatics, alkanes, olefins), benzene, ketones, phenols, alcohols, ethers, alkanes and other compounds and mixed organic waste gas.

RCO can be directly applied or integrated and combined with other treatment processes, and is widely used in the organic waste gas emission industry with relatively single components such as painting, printing, rubber, etc.

Catalytic Oxidizer (CO)

The working process of CO system is similar to that of RCO, but the main difference is that the heat exchange mode is different. RCO uses ceramic heat storage for heat exchange, while CO uses plate heat exchanger for heat exchange, and the oxidation temperature range is 300-500 ℃. The initial investment is relatively small.

CO startup time is more suitable for intermittent production industry than RTO and RCO;

Multistage Condensation+Oxidizer Process

Purification Principle：

At its dew point temperature, the organic compounds condense into dew droplets and leaves exhaust gas system in the form of a liquid phase; the residual organic matter enters oxidation system for purification.

Adsorption Concentrator+Oxidizer Process

Purification Principle:

Temperature swing adsorption: organic compounds are adsorbed and purified by zeolite at room temperature, and the organic compounds enriched on the zeolite are desorbed at high temperature to form concentrated gas; the concentrated gas enters oxidizer system for purification.
